Job Summary
The training programme is designed to give trainees hands-on experience with the key electrical, mechanical, and production systems within a beverage manufacturing environment. It will help the Trainee build practical skills in equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, plant utilities, reliability, and safe engineering practices.

Key Training Areas
- Production Equipment & Machinery
- Understanding how beverage production machines work.
- Practical exposure to fillers, conveyors, labelling machines, mixers, pumps, compressors, and packaging equipment.
- Learning machine operation and common equipment faults.
- Electrical Systems & Controls
- Industrial electrical systems, motors, sensors, switches, and control panels.
- Introduction to PLCs, automation, and machine control systems.
- Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Automation and autonomous equipment performance.
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Maintenance of pumps, valves, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and other mechanical components.
- Lubrication, alignment, adjustment, and replacement of worn parts.
- Understanding and addressing the causes of mechanical failure.
- Preventive Maintenance & Asset Reliability
- Understanding preventive, autonomous and planned maintenance.
- Equipment inspections and condition monitoring.
- Learning how to reduce breakdowns, downtime, and production losses.
- Introduction to OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reliability practices.
- Utilities, Safety & Engineering Standards
- Exposure to plant utilities such as compressed air systems, refrigeration and air conditioning, water treatment, boilers, steam generation, and steam supply systems.
- Understanding CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and their engineering requirements.
- Workplace safety, lockout/tagout, PPE, electrical safety, and safe maintenance practices.
Requirements
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Basic knowledge of Food Safety & Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC22000, HACCP)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Data analytics skills
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Enjoy a hands-on work environment
- Computer literacy-Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- A Safety Champion
Qualification:
- HND/BTech/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- One (1) year post NSS experience, preferably in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
