Job Summary

To operate assigned forklift and fully ensure it is always maintained, report any malfunction to the Logistics and Transport Supervisor for prompt action.

Job Details

The Forklift Operator shall be responsible for:

  • Operate equipment in a safe, legal and courteous manner, ensuring full compliance with posted/known speed limits and road traffic regulations.
  • Drive defensively to avoid accidents.
  • Observe all safety rules including the use of PPE provided.
  • To complete all tasks safely and in a reasonable time adhering to agreed guidelines.
  • To keep equipment assigned in a clean and presentable condition.
  • To report any problem on the equipment immediately to supervisor and filling out the relevant documents for repairs.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or manager.   

Requirements

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a good team player.
  • Ability to work extra hours as may be required.
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • A conscious SAFETY champion at all levels of operation.

 

Qualification:

  • Valid professional driving license class E
  • 2-year relevant experience
