To use assigned vehicle and fully ensure it is always maintained, report any malfunction to the Logistics and Transport Supervisor for prompt action.
Job Details
The Heavy-Duty Truck (Trailer) Driver shall be responsible for:
- Drive assigned vehicle in a safe, legal and courteous manner, ensuring full compliance with posted/known speed limits and road traffic regulations.
- Ensure vehicle has undergone necessary statutory inspection and carries all valid certificates and sticker(s).
- Drive defensively to avoid accidents.
- Observe all safety rules including the use of PPE provided.
- To complete all tasks safely and in a reasonable time to the satisfaction of the customer (internal or external).
- To keep assigned vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
- To report any problem on the vehicle immediately to the Logistics and Transport Supervisor and filling out the relevant documents for repairs.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Logistics and Transport Supervisor.
Requirements
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work extra hours as may be required.
- Strong observational skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills
- Excellent knowledge of road signages and road safety champion.
Qualification:
- Valid professional driving license Class F.
- 4 years relevant experience.
